Dublin Wedding Photographer covering the stunning wedding story of Charlotte + James at the incredible residence of the British Ambassador to ireland, Glencairn House
This was one of those incredible once in a lifetime stories. A story which as a Dublin wedding photographer will stay with me forever. Charlotte + James initially got in touch through Danielle. I had shoot Danielle’s incredible wedding the year before and she was now helping plan other incredible weddings. From the moment I first met with them I knew this was going to be awesome. A destination wedding in ireland, set in the stunning grounds of the British Ambassador’s residence, Glencairn.
Their story began with charlotte enjoying a lovely breakfast with her girls and family. Before all heading upstairs to get ready. James and the boys breakfasted at a local bar and got ready in a nearby hotel before heading across to ceremony.
Once the girls were ready they helped charlotte into her stunning dress. Charlottes dad met her at the foot of the incredible central household staircase. They both then jumped in her father’s armor plated car, while I got to ride shotgun in the police escort! That was fun!
St Mary’s Pro Cathedral is one of those stunning ceremony venues which you need a few minutes to take in. Epic really doesn’t quite seem to cut it!
After what was a very moving ceremony I joined Charlotte + James of a little road trip across Dublin. We found some beautiful spots and captured some moments between them. Being their Dublin wedding photographer it was such a pleasure to capture those close moments together.
Back at Glencairn House the couple were met by their friends and family. Who beneath the sound of a trumpet call showered them with confetti. Once the drinks were drunk, everyone retired to the marquee for the wedding breakfast.
Later that evening the party really kicked into gear, everyone partying until the early hours. What a Day, what a story, I will never forget this opportunity I had as their Dublin wedding photographer.
A big thank you to Aga from White Tea Photography for the heroic effort of second shooting for me. Couldn’t have done it without you . . .
