Weddings in the wood hand tying celebration with the brilliant Emma & Gavin, at the unique Weddings in the Wood venue in the heart of the beautiful New Forest
Weddings in the Wood is an unique venue, with its wonderful boutique sheppards huts and barn set around a magical woodland glade, it really is a one off venue. Beautiful to begin with, once the couple have added their own personal details and decorations the Weddings in the Wood becomes transformed into something truly jaw dropping.
I caught up with Emma and her bridesmaids at the lovely Crown Hotel, just down the road in lyndhurst. It was there where they could all chill out and get ready with the help of the lovely ladies from Amazing Face bridal hair and make up. From the Crown Hotel, all the girls jumped into a brilliant little VW campervan to make the short trip back to the Weddings in the Wood venue.
At the Weddings in the Wood all their many friends and family were already waiting to greet the arriving Emma. As was Gavin, who in a pretty cool vintage top hat and waistcoat was stood at the end of the path to meet Emma as she drew up to the ceremony.
Once they had made their way across the lawn into the circle of friends and family, the humanist hand tying ceremony could commence. Standing together under the trees, surrounded by guests, outside in the open despite the threatening elements, they spoke personal words to each other whilst Gavin’s two daughters bound their hands together.
Once the beautiful ceremony had been completed the partying could begin, with fete style games, afternoon tea and even ice-cream. Then as the light started to fade the fires were lit and the lights came on, once more transforming the Weddings in the Wood venue into the perfect place to party into the early hours.
Finally a huge thank you to Emma & Gavin themselves for inviting along to their Weddings in the Wood celebration and to tell their incredible story
